Humans were born to move and the lack of physical activity is dangerous for our health. Going to the gym to exercise is not a preferred or realistic option for some people. Taking a daily power walk or a hike could be an alternative way to move it. The strategy, is finding those physical activities that will raise your heart rate for an extended period of time and are motivating enough for you to stick with on a regular weekly schedule. Equally important are strength training to build lean muscle mass and help burn more calories and flexibility/stretching activities to promote circulation, protect joints and prevent injuries.
Focus on strength, endurance and flexibility activities that work for you!
