My mom loved the plumeria flower.  On our March trip to Kauai, it seemed as if she had ordered them just for me in her memory, because they were everywhere!  The plumeria flower’s intoxicating scent and beautiful colors make it the perfect flower for the Hawaiian lei.

We went out to dinner at a restaurant called the Beach House that has spectacular food, but I was more focused on the flowers and the slipping sunset.  As the sun sank lower and lower towards the horizon, each photo seemed to capture sun’s rays in a new light!

I really could not take my eyes off of the sun as it slowly sunk below the horizon.
