Back in the PNW
As I swooped back into Seattle last Friday evening, I got a pretty nice view of the moon the day before it was a “blue moon” (the second full moon in a calendar month). We flew above a thick cloud layer (welcome back to Seattle;) and the glowing moon was rising. My mom would have loved it!
The air in Seattle feels warmer now. I saw signs of spring on a “city walk” including birds singing in this flowering forsythia.
I also saw this beautiful camellia bush in bloom. Camellia’s glossy green leaves and stunning flowers are always a welcome relief that spring has finally arrived!
Camellia sinensis, the tea-plant, is of major commercial importance because tea is made from its leaves.
