We often get immersed in the pressures of daily living and lose sight of what really matters in life such as health and happiness. We may neglect to focus on nourishing our spirit.
On a recent mountain bike, I found a perfect spot just off the trail to sit down, close my eyes and listen to the birds. A very nice man hiking past asked me if I was alright. I told him I had just stopped for a minute to take in the smells and sounds of the forest. Make time for contemplation, sit quietly, focus on your breath and find that connection to something bigger than yourself.
Many definitions of health include the concept of wholeness and harmony of mind, body and spirit. However you define it, each person’s spirit is one of the most personal and intimate things about ourselves.
