Monday

It is the start of a new week of social distancing.

According to Nancy Lublin who co-founded Crisis Text Line, a nonprofit text-messaging organization, the volume of messages has surged during the coronavirus pandemic.  In her words, “What we need right now is physical distance and social connection.”

Anxiety is high and we all have our own unique way to support others.  I sent out this video this morning to those I love to let them know I am thinking of them. There is nothing quite like first light with the birds singing, on Vashon Island.

Each of us has the power to connect with family and friends through texting, calling, emailing, Face Time or my mom’s favorite, the USPS.  Do what you can to connect.  Keeping communication lines open with your people is vital in these isolating times!

  1. Excellent message, Jan! Bob and I have just been talking about how to keep in touch while being far away.
