Do for others
Doing for others nurtures our spirit. One of my passions is cooking. I recently put chives from my spring garden in mashed potatoes. The potatoes tasted delicious with chicken thighs and the first apricots of the season.
By pursuing my passion I also make my family and friends very happy since they enjoy the product(s) of that passion.
When I was little I spent time tagging after my mom while she was cooking. I developed a life long love of cooking and eating healthy food. I also cooked with my own sons to encourage their desire to make and eat real food (sorry for all the fruit deserts:). I so believe in the importance of cooking with kids that I regularly give a gift of “a cooking with kids” cookbook to friends and family with the birth of their children.
I recently got to meet my good friend Jul’s grandson Jack. What a cutie! My gift to new mom Maggie was a cookbook for her to use with Jack as he grows and develops. Cook real food with your kids since it is a gift that can give them a lifetime of health and wellness!
