Health benefits of walking

I get in a walk everyday.  When my walk is to the store to pick up groceries, it includes a little strength training for my arms and core as well! Carrying objects for a distance is a functional lifting pattern. Carrying a full bag of groceries is similar to the suitcase carry a trainer might suggest.  The benefits for your health are invaluable.

Check out this cool video about the Walk With A Doc program.  When doctors emphasize the benefits of exercise, patients tend to listen.

Last week I got in a very nice walk while carrying two bags of groceries home from the store.
