Last week I met friends in Bainbridge Island for a special birthday dinner at Restaurant Marche.  Bainbridge Island is a city in Washington State and the name of the island in Puget Sound on which the city is situated. Winslow is the name of the downtown area of the city of Bainbridge Island and is the original name of the city.  It is a scenic ferry ride from Seattle.

Since I live a few blocks from the ferry terminal in Seattle and the restaurant was in Winslow just off the Bainbridge ferry, I decided to save some money and get some exercise at the same time by walking on the ferry!  Try walking instead of hopping in your car.
