The morning we left, I had my last cup of green tea at the Rusutsu Resort. There are so many types of tea to try in Japan and I think I tried them all including a variety of Matcha teas.
Green tea is my favorite drink. A decade long study in Japan that included over 40,000 adults, found that those who consumed over five cups of green tea a day had a significantly lower risk of death by heart attack or stroke.
Each room in the resort had this very unique electric tea-pot to boil water and I used it daily for all of the green tea I sipped on our trip.
Try drinking tea, real tea you steep yourself, not the bottled versions filled with sugar and other additives. The health benefits are numerous!
