The Rusutsu Ski Resort had the feel of a winter Disneyland. One of the snow activities we gals chose to do was dog sledding.  We had a view of the dogsled track from our hotel windows and thought it looked like fun.  The dogsled guides had us hop on their snowmobiles and whisked us up to the track.  Then we were given a very short (two-minute) training on how to ride on and slow down the sled.  Off we went, one at a time.

I am not sure when I will ever have a chance to dogsled again, but it sure was a cool experience as we rounded each corner with the snow swirling above our heads.
