A New Perspective of the Mountains

The snowy Washington Cascade Mountains look so very different from the mountains I played in over the holidays, due to the types of trees/vegetation and shape of the peaks and valleys.  The Cascade rainy western slopes are densely covered with Douglas fir trees and the dryer eastern slopes are covered by ponderosa pine trees.  Spending time in the mountains on both sides of the state feeds my spirit.

I snapped this photo recently on a spectacular bluebird day.  It made me want to throw on my warmest coat and head for the hills.

Another amazing drone video from James has given me a new perspective of the mountain town of Leavenworth Washington .

The  day and night views capture the feel of this winter wonderland!
