Another great feature of the Kauai Grand Hyatt is its proximity to the south side of the island.  It is a beautiful walk to visit Poipu’s beaches or head over in the evening to Brenneke’s Beach Broiler and listen to some live music.

I thought of my mom when I walked past this umbrella with no one sitting under it;(  Edie and my sister’s family joined us on Kauai back in the early 90’s and we had a great time swimming and playing on this beach with our kids.

It is also close to some great cliff hikes and a short drive to Waimea Canyon, “The Grand Canyon of the Pacific”.

When on Kauai there are so many ways to experience awe.
