Nurture your spirit

What feeds the spirit for one may not work for another. Take time to nurture your spirit since it is an important piece of wellness and health. Five Ways to Nurture Your Spirit in the Huffington Post 5/31/14 suggests:

1. Feed a hobby or passion
Do something you love excites the spirit on a regular basis. Think about what you loved to do as a child or what brings you joy as an adult.

2. Be still
Meditation, prayer or yoga, anything that quiets your mind, can open your spirit to new possibilities and ideas in your life.

3. Take a vacation
Remove yourself from your daily routine to renew your spirit.

4. Spend quality time with friends and family
Life is too short to put tasks and work above friends and family.

5. Make someone else happy
Volunteering and doing good for others make you feel good from the inside out.

Getting out in the yard and planting a few herbs and vegetables makes me happy.
